The principle behind the formation of Magi Initiative is that individuals who have a supportive community and access to mentorship will achieve greater success than those without. The founders of the program learned this firsthand during their own upbringing, where they had a strong community and various mentor figures. However, this is not the reality for many young people today. Magi Initiative aims to fill this gap by providing young people with a supportive community and access to mentorship by business professionals. At Magi-Initiative, we understand that community and mentorship are vital for young people's development and success. That's why we have made it our mission to provide young people with both. We believe that by fostering a sense of belonging and guidance, we create an environment for young people to thrive, set ambitious goals and achieve them. Our program is aimed to fulfill these two key needs and empower the next generation to succeed.

What does Magi Mean?

Biblically, the term “Magi” refers to a group of wise men from Persia who followed the guided star to Bethlehem to see and pay homage to the infant Jesus, Son of God. We believe that these wise men were referred to as ‘wise’ not only because of their wealth, success, and power, but also because of their priorities. They kept the Lord their God in the forefront of their minds. While Magi Initiative is a non-religious, nonprofit organization, a key motivation behind the formation of this program was the faith of our founders compelling them to create value in the lives of others.

Our method

Mentorship
The Magi-Initiative Mentorship Program is a ten-month program that pairs a select group of young people, mentees, with carefully selected mentors. Our goal for this program is to allow students the opportunity to be paired with an individual who will guide them through their professional life, ambitions, and future outlook. Our hope for the Magi Initiative program is that we begin to foster a new generation of businesspeople who are not only successful in their careers, but also committed to ethical practices, social responsibility, and creating value for all stakeholders. By providing young people with the support and guidance they need to grow and thrive, Magi Initiative is working to shape the future of business and build a better world.
Community
At Magi-Initiative, our aim is to establish a community where high school and first-year college students can find peers who share similar goals and interests. Our goal is to cultivate a group of driven and business-oriented individuals who can collaborate and grow together. To achieve this, we are hosting Community Gatherings on a monthly basis. These events will provide a platform for attendees to network, learn from guest speakers, and connect with our mentors. The gatherings will include food, a guest speaker and opportunities to meet and connect with mentors. By fostering this community, we hope to inspire ambition, growth, and success among young people.

What success means to us

If there is even one young person who goes through our program and is better equipped to go out into the business world, networked with his/her ambitions clearly visualized, we have succeeded in our efforts through Magi-Initiative. We are here to offer community and guidance, unavailable to students currently, that has an immense impact on their future. If we have done that in any capacity, we will have accomplished what we set out to do.
